TANK DRIVING TASTER EXPERIENCE (Offer Ends 9th September)

Experience the fun and excitement of driving a genuine 17 tonne tank with a 40mm cannon. The FV432 is a multi-roll track vehicle which has always been the squaddies favourite.

When you arrive you will be introduced to the team and be given a briefing covering the history of the vehicle and the safety issues involved with driving a tank. Next you are issued with military overalls and a helmet so that you look like a soldier.

The first time you drive the tank you will have your head out of the hatch so that you get familiar with how the tank drives. Having gained some confidence you will drive the tank looking only through the periscopes as if you were in a battle situation.

There are a variety of challenging courses to drive over set in a World War II bombing range.

• One on One Session driving the FV432 (head out of the hatch) 
• One on One Session driving the FV432 (looking through the periscope) 
• Debriefing and departure

A driving licence is not required. You must be less than 6ft 4" tall and weigh less than 22 stone. The minimum age is 16 for this experience. Please allow approximately 1 hour at the venue for the Tank Driving Taster Experience. Extreme weather may affect the Tank Driving Taster Experience. As this is an outdoor activity, you are advised to dress comfortably and warmly. Sturdy boots are advisable, as are waterproofs during wet weather. Courses are available on selected days between April and October. Spectators are welcome, with an option to be a passenger on a tank (subject to availability) which will cost £20 per person. The minimum passenger age is 8 years old. All gift vouchers are valid for 12 months, unless otherwise stated.
