Survival Basics In West Sussex

This is ideal for all fans of Ray Mears, as it's a two day course aimed at learning the basics of survival.

Over the two days you will build a shelter which you will spend the night in, make fires to cook from and learn how to collect and purify water. You will also look at emergency equipment, learn how to carry an injured party and basic navigation by day and night.

The course also covers basic fungi, plant and tree identification and how to use them.

A very practical course, designed to dispel any myths about survival and teach realistic and useful skills.

Be aware you will be sleeping in the shelters you have made.

Please allow 2 days at the venue. Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Due to the nature of the location, you must have extra warm clothes and waterproofs. You will also need a sleeping bag, ground mat, torch, water bottle, notepad and pen / pencil. We will provide you with a kit list at the time of booking. Selected dates throughout the year.
