Raptor Encounter At Peckforton Castle

This is a perfect introduction into the world of birds of prey in the stunning setting of Peckforton Castle.

Upon arrival at the castle, you will be greeted by one of the experienced falconers who will give you a quick guide around the collection of the birds. You will then be given the glove and shown how to fly the birds to your very own fist.

During your Raptor Encounter at Peckforton Castle, you will get the opportunity to fly a range of different birds of prey species including Owls, Hawks, Buzzards, Kites and Falcons.

From start to finish you will be in the thick of the action whilst the falconer guides and educates you in all aspects of the raptor world.

• A unique opportunity to see the fabulous birds of prey in spectacular surroundings
• Handle and fly the birds of prey in the castle grounds

Please allow approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes at the venue for the Raptor Encounter at Peckforton Castle. We recommend that participants wear casual dress and walking shoes or boots for the Raptor Encounter at Peckforton Castle. Unfortunately spectators are unable to attend. The Raptor Encounter is available on selected dates throughout the year. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

The minimum age is 14 years old. (Children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult). Extreme weather conditions may affect the Raptor Encounter at Peckforton Castle.
