This is your chance to experience flying in a Microlight Flexwing with an open cockpit. This traditional flexwing aircraft kind of resembles a motorised hang glider. Also known as a weightshift or trike, this particular Microlight has a wing reminiscent of a hang-glider with a trike unit containing the engine and seats with the landing gear suspended below.
Your Microlight flying experience will begin with a flight briefing before you are dressed into your flying suit, helmet and gloves. Next, it’s off to the aircraft to line up and take off. The thrill will be just breath taking!
As we fly the Microlight through the skies of Nottinghamshire, we will pass a new generation of power generating windmills then it’s off over the rolling countryside of Derbyshire to take in the rolling views of the Peak District. If there is time we could even fly over your home!
You will also be given the chance to have a go at flying the Microlight yourself from the back seat. Once you have experienced Microlight Flying from the back seat, you can come back to base and have a go in the front seat as the instructor guides you through the controls. Microlight Flying never fails to impress!
