If you’ve always fancied learning to fly, why not book a flying lesson at Blackpool Airport with a choice of either a fifteen, thirty, forty five or sixty minute trial flight lesson in a Robinson R22 Helicopter.
Get a taste of what these wonderful machines can do as you follow the Instructor through the controls into the hover, the transit to forward flight and the climb to 1,500 feet before experiencing some hands-on flying to your chosen duration of route.
A 15 minute trial lesson will take a route to Blackpool Tower before returning back to the airfield. An ideal choice for a taste of flying!
The 30 minute flying lesson will fly to Fleetwood and back, past the Blackpool Tower up to the Flyde coast, around the corner at Morecombe Bay and then down the River Wyre. A real hands-on experience!
The 45 minute lesson will fly to Morecombe and back, direct to Lancaster then on to Morecombe to fly around the Bay across to Fleetwood and down the coast past the tower to Blackpool. A real taster for the budding pilot!
Finally there is the ultimate 60 minute helicopter flying lesson. You will fly up the coast, past Blackpool Tower, on to Fleetwood across the bay and into Windermere via Newby Bridge and down the lake to Bowness, over the hill to Coniston, then down Dondald Campbell’s Lake home to Blackpool.

The minimum age is 10 years old (if under 16 years of age at least one adult must be present). You must be less than 6ft 4" tall and weigh less than 17 stone.
